i was planning on staying with my 14b but it recently blew out and i got on amazing deal on an mhi small 16g($250:thumb:)

i have been doing all the maitenence on my car, replacing everything before i start on the mods, and i want to start to get more out of my whip

Current mods:
Dejon intake
3inch downpipe
Small 16g
2g manifold
Boost Gauge
Oil pressure Gauge

I've been doing some research and next on my list of upgrades is my fuel system

being that i replaced my 14b with the 16g i want to do a 255 walbro, fpr(need help with a good brand), bigger injectors(don't know a good size) and some type of afc(i dont have an eprom)

I am aiming for around 350+whp and i know it will take some time but thats no problem. (Maitanence first)

Should i buy an afc and a wideband before i get my fuelpump and fpr? What's a good size injectors for my setup? How much boost is good for dd with stock injectors and a stock fuelpump on my small 16g?

Any advice or things i should look out for would be greatly appreciatted:D

Well if you really want to get the full potential of that turbo I would go with an e85 fuel setup. Its the only way you would ever get near 350whp on that turbo. Plus I did a quick search and there are a few stations in your area.

I ran e85 on 1200cc injectors, maf-t, safc and 255lph FP on a stock fuel pressure regulator with no issues. The 1g's FPR seems to handle the 255 a lot better than 2g's. I still use a stock FPR. Idle is a little rough due to the large injectors.

Best way would to try and go with ecmlink or some type of way of flashing the ecu than using just a safc/maft setup. Ecmlink+ just came out and is priced pretty good but only uses load based tuning which is a little more advanced for beginners but can be learned pretty easy. Soon should be updated with sliders for the novice tuner.

Search e85 and learn about it. Get a good tuning device and fuel setup to handle it and have it tuned or learn to do it yourself. E85 is the best thing that ever happened to my dsm and it will never see gas again.

I wana run e85, i've got a pump thats right by my house, i'm just trying to find out what kind of injectors would be right for my setup also what would be a good maf-t(i heard alot about people running a 2g maf-t or a GM maf-t), and a good safc brand.

Also, is it better to put in one part at a time(safc, fuel pump, ect) or just wait untill you have your full fuel setup and put it in all at once?

Find a cheap maft used. U will need a maft and gm maf. I would go with 1150's. Apexi makes all safc's. I would look for the second gen safc with the knob for a control. Then install it all and have it tuned at a dyno.

You want to run e85. You could make 300 whp without even a fmic. It's all i run in my turbo cars. Look on azawd, there are 1000+ cc injectors on there all the time. As far as boost on yout setup i'd stay under 12 psi on the stock pump and injectors, remember the pump is 20 years old now.

I wouldn't go with an safc if your going to run the larger injectors for e85. I wouldn't go with anything larger then 550cc and tune with the safc. Maybe you can push it with 680cc injectors. A car running E85 will require ~42% more fuel.

E85 consists of 85% ethanol and 15% additives. The additives vary a lot depending on where you live and time of the year. But roughly, the 15% additives is mostly made up of gasoline, additives that helps the engine to make a complete burn, additives that helps the engine start when it´s cold and additives to color the fuel and the flame (so you know what substance it is, and also to help you see that it is really burning).

Mode ........... Gas .... E85 ...... extra % (mass) ... extra % (flow)
Stoich .......... 14.7 .... 9.765 ........ +50.5% ................ +42%
Lean power ... 13.2 .... 8.47 .......... +55.8% ................ +47%
Rich power .... 12.5 .... 6.975 ........ +79.2% ................ +69%

Thats why you run a MAF-T with the SAFC. I setup my maft for around 950cc injectors and I have 1200cc injectors to compensate for the e85. I then used my safc to fine tune so I was only changing it about 10-20% for WOT. The car idled great and hit 22* timing with base at about 2*. Worked great.

Also had a buddy flowing over 55lb min on a turbo running a safc, 1150's, e85 and evo maf. The evo maf compenates so much for the injectors minimal changes where needed on the safc. Worked pretty good for a cheap setup.
