New Ride 1991 eagle talon tsi fwd

Recently bought a 1991 eagle talon tsi fwd. Its a 5 speed with a sunroof and the outside is a dark purple, cloth interior. Car starts up and drives great only there is one problem. It will not idle correctly. It will not stall but it will dip down to about 450-500 rpms then bounce back up also there is a problem when accelerating it hesitates sometimes. Ive read and been told it could be an alternator, air control valve, or my ecu going bad. Does this problem vary by car or does my problem sound like one of the ones listed above. Also was the car suppose to have a bag for the moonroof?

Im also going to replace the timing belt and lifters. Can you tell me the best places to get those.

It may also have a small boost leak that is causing it to have issues. Try a Boost Leak Test.

I bought my timing belt at Oreillys and it has worked out just fine for me. As for lifters just find a set of good used ones in the part outs or something.

As far as a timing belt, I'd contact SBR Joe (username on tuners) and he should be able to give you a hella deal on a whole timing belt kit. Both kevlar or non kevlar belt.
