I won an SBR kit on ebay which is what I wanted, and got screwed. He never shipped it.
I have a brand new Punishment FMIC kit that will be here Thursday.
I found a used SBR kit that I want, but do I chance getting screwed again?? I REALLY WANT the SBR kit, especially with my goals.
I'm looking for 400 AWHP with a PTE SCM6152e
I have a stock bottom end, but sometime in the future will get a decent rod/piston combo so I can up the boost more. From what I read this Punishment kit is good up to 450 HP. I don't know how they rate HP to an IC, but what happens if I have 500 + HP on a core rated for 450 hp? does it start getting further from it's efficency(sp?) range and not cool as well??

more detail of my mods are here if you need them. And my profile is up to date except for the parts I have in the mail on the way here.

I know, I want it really bad.
I want to put that punishment kit on SO BAD I can taste it. Just caue it will be in my hands soon, and I'v never had an aftermarket fmic before.

I was going to say "I'v never had a fmic" but then I remembered my evo. :)

Most manufactures rate their intercoolers at crank hp not whp. The only downside of a smaller rated core is that it will loose efficiency after a certain point and will suffer pressure drop along with heat soak a bit faster. It is only designed to allow so much air to move easily.

I am in the same boat as I am about to test the limits of my core very soon.

The 6152e is a pretty efficient turbo in itself. You could always run an I/C sprayer system or Meth. Injection when really laying the boost on heavy. Or, like you said, get a bigger core.

I'v decided to stick with the brand new punishment kit that will be here tomorrow. Cause I know I'll be running meth after I get the turbo on and see how some things go.

I hope Tim at Punishment gives me good news about PTE releasing their turbo very very soon. I can't wait.

That will be an awsome setup. The punishment kit might not supporrt as much hp but it is still a badass setup
