Ok I couldn't post this as a reply in Vendor Announcments but I have a few questions.
1. Will ALL mani's be cast w/ a spot for an ex. WG, and if so what size? 38mm,40mm,44mm?

2. What will be the dimenstion of this mani? is it the same size as the previous cast SBR Mani, internally? Externally?

3. What will the pricing look like on this mani?

4. Is there any special process that is used in this mani to prevent cracking or warping like what was used in the other SBR mani?

5. Is the other SBR mani done for, and never coming back, despite all the people on the waiting list?

Thanks.

Perhaps you should contact SBR themselves. They would know more about it than any of us.

These questions are directed toward SBR, I know they post quite frequently in the tuners and he also said please ask questions on the forums or email to them. I chose to start a new thread b/c Im sure lots of people will want to know these same answeres just like I do, and this way, I dont have to post what I find out if I were to have called them. Its just easier for everyone to find out here.

He can answer all of your questions except 3 and 5, those can be dealt with off board.

I have a question of my own.

Will you be drilling out the holes for the stock heat shield? I know it will have to be cut for the external gate but it would be nice to be able to bolt it on.

Hey guys, i'll post all my answers when i have some time. Sorry but i'm mega busy, just don't think i'm ignoring it! Thanks!

Since the images on your website obviously come from some form of CAD software, has any FEA analysis been run on the model of the manifold?

I have a question also.

Why do they continue to put the WG on just the #1 runner?

Why not put it closer to the collector or right on it?
from looking at the way its setup it looks like it may vent all 4 runners. i am getting old though ;)

What is a FEA analysis? (sorry for off topic question)

Basically, it is an analysis tool which predicts (sometimes accurate, sometimes not so accurate) the reaction of the structure you are working with to shear forces, stress forces, etc.

it's setup for a 38mm tial gate. most/all 40mm gate's ive seen have a 4-bolt pattern

1. 38 mm gate, the hole can be left shut for people who do not want to run the external 38 mm yet. However, the holes will be drilled and tapped when they are ready. We will open up WG passage here on the mill for those who want it that way right out of the box.

2. Other than wall thickness, the dimensions will be the same as the first round of castings we had done. The extra .080" of wall thickness will allow for a little more port work, while not making the walls to "thin".

4. Like #2 said, just extra wall thickness in each runner.

Yes on the stock heat shield holes!

HEHE.... yes.

However more time was spent on structural, and heat transfer, fluid dynamics, etc.

We also dropped it from our second floor roof, it broke the concrete :) jk.

I had to delete and edit one of your posts Mike.

Pricing and availibilty is not to be discussed in the open forum. You can post the info in Vendor Announcements or privately to the people that requested the information.

Please.

Off topic, You still havent gotten any info back about the Evo16g Gt yet have you? I have been waiting for quite sometime for this info.

This is not the thread for this. Contact them privately.

Could you share some of these CFD results? Do you have similar analyses on other manifolds to compare to? What FE package are you using?

If people cannot stop posting information I asked not too, I will start handing out suspensions.

Jesus, why do I have to babysit this bullshit.
