Well here it finally is all finished. Took it for a little spin and all I can say is that this turbo makes my car sound totally different. Much louder exhaust while cruising, and the turbo spool is retarded loud compared to my evo3. Just need to do a few highway pulls with Dsmlink to really FEEL the difference I guess LOL. Thanks to everyone that helped me out.

I've been venting this car for like 3 years without any problems. I figured I would get flamed. Next mod is gm mas with a tial bov for this bigger turbo. Honestly, I have never had problems with the car venting, even now.

Are you compensating airflow in dsmlink? Let's stay on topic though because the vent vs. unvent has been debated to death. :beatentodeath:

I noticed you have a Greddy type-S BOV.

I know from experience that when you have the BOV improperly set up. (too hard) Then you will not have stalling issues. However, the running rich issue is still present.
Another bad thing about having it set up that way is the mass amounts of compressor surge that you will receive which is not good for the turbo at all.

Back in my beginning DSMer days, I used to run my car like this. That all changed when I got a logger and saw what I was doing.

To tell you the truth, I know it is not the correct way to meter air with my setup. But when I originally started modding my car (like 4 years ago). I misplaced the little bov return pipe. I wanted to put the pipe back in, but never had time to hunt one down. The car never ran funny. I DO realize it is wrong and am planning to do something about it. This is why I was hesitant to post that damn picture. Thanks for the bashing guys LOL.

so what are you pushing on this new setup, as far as psi? just curious. might be changing my setup a little and like the thoughts of this turbo on a 2.3l idk yet though. also when do you see full boost at?
