Finally got the power steering cooler installed on the vehicle that Chris sent me last year. Got it mounted right behind one of the front bumper vents to get it nice cool air. Also did the power steering cut mod to keep the power steering from cutting out at the top of the rev range.

I just left mine behind my front mount i have not noticed any difference when do you know you need to upgrade the cooler it looks pretty easy to do.

It's more of a preventative mod. I hit a ladder a few years back before I had my fmic and it took out the stock cooler so my hose was just looped and not runing through a cooler at all.

I used a different cooler, Setrab 8"- 2"-2" cooler. I mounted it between the oil cooler and the radiator.Routed the hose under the left headlight to the p/s reservoir. Intead rapping the hose with tape I installed plastic wire housing around the core support hole. I looks factory. I have a photo in my gallery.

Looks like an excellent install!

I was thinking about getting a cooler like that one and putting it in front of or behind my external oil cooler (which is in the driver's side bumper opening). Any opinions on that location?

Just picked up some door jam trim to throw on the fenders and I'll probably pick up another set to put it around those lines as well. Having driven it for a couple weeks now I'll be pulling the front bumper to check the wear on those lines.
