Hello to everbody in this forum. I'm new to all of this so from time to time I may ask a foolish question or two so bear with me. I just recently purchased a 1991 Talon TSi Turbo FWD for $7,600.00 Canadian and the Car was in MINT condition, never winter driven, always stored indoors, 100,000 kms., one owner (A Doctor) who always did the regular maintenance and anything else that needed to be done, and always a couple of good coats of Mother's Wax on her. She is in Pristine condition on the inside as well as under the hood, Pictures will follow soon so you can see for youself. What do you think? Also, I plan on doing some modifications, nothing outrageous but enough to put her around 250 HP. I'm thinking a mechanical boost gauge mounted on a single A Pillar Pod, a K & N High FLow Air Filter System to replace the whole stock can filter that is there now, and a new blow-off valve...Does this sound reasonable? That would do it for mods under the hood for now. The rest would be looks items like 17" Sniper Rims, and a neon purple ground effect kit.

Let's here those comments...I'm new to this stuff so all advise and help would be appreciated. ;)

I have seen them for under the hood although I know nothing about these helping shifting. Anybody got them?
Joe

Any car with a stick, in fact will benefit. I made my own for under the shift plate and run www.dsmparts.com ones under the hood at the linkage :)

i'm so happy! i just bought a 96 talon tsi awd 5spd. it has 55k miles on it and i got it for $10,500. this is my first true dsm and i love it. way better than my old 95 sebring.

some things i would like to do to it are:
new exhaust
i wonder if those ruby like taillights would look good?
and maybe some other minor stuff.

i dont wanna do anything major yet, i think its real fast stock, but thats just because i've been driving an 83 blazer for the past 3 months. hehe
maybe i'll mod it up some more when my a$$ dyno gets used to the 4g63.

yayaya. i'm so happy. hopefully i'll have some picks for you on thursday, thats when i pick the car up.

feel free to give me some advice ppl. i'm all ears

thanks
-josh

i always like when people buy their car and hurry up and post, i feel their excitment and joy, brings me back to my first day

Nice find!
I am also a fairly new Talon Owner. I found a 1997 Talon AWD with 58K miles. I love the car and have already started modifying it. I have done exhaust, turbo, and fuel upgrades. It is making quite a lot of power. I am getting ready to do an intercooler upgrade. Good luck with your new DSM.

Yeah, but he'll turn blue because his car is gonna break or crankwalk and he's gonna realise he can't run 10s. LOL

thanks guys, and btw i dont want to run 10's , at the most probly 12's will do. i'm just glad i bought a rockin car. its so fun

whats up, i'm relatively new and realize i have a lot to learn about dsm's...

my current daily driver is a honda civic...with a 180whp itr motor. i've done several motor swaps with hondas...etc...but know very little about dsm's...

today i just picked up a 1g talon for 200 dollars which needs a fuel pump. i'm unsure of the year because i for some stupid reason didn't ask the owner...just inquired about it after hearing from someone that it was for sale.

by looking at the wheels could any of you tell what year the car is...or what year it could possibly be. its a black eagle talon, with the same wheels pictured in the attachement below.

on monday i will be picking up the car..and hopefully learning more about what i can do to push this into the 12's.

thanks for your help
