Hey guys i traded my mustang gt for an 95 gsx 55k origonal miles but really beat up and abused  (I havent had time to post pics of it an here yet im going to do that now) about 4 months ago and 4 days after i got it i got in a wreck and the car was totalled(core support cracked and frame bent). A guy that lives in town fixed the core support and straightend out the frame, and over the past few months ive slowly been putting the car back together and its finally done, and time to do some performance.

And yes all the routine maintnence has been done, i replaced everything that was faulty or didnt work, redid all the break lines, abs delete, new alt., new master and slave cylinder, oil change and fluids.. and MOST IMPORTANTLY got all new bolts and put them where they were missing and fixed everything that was rigged up!

I just recently finished up with the body pieces, i got a new hood new fenders, a 2gb talon front bumper, and twisty side skirts that i havent put on yet! :D

Now im looking to do some performance to the car before spring rolls around, im looking for just low 13's high 12's for the opening at the track what exacty would i need, and what the cheapest (safest way) to get there? Any imput would be really appreciated thanks guys!

And i do have an eprom ecu as well

Very first would be link and a wb.

Since you already have a fmic and an exhaust. The next step would

intake pipe
mbc

That should be enough to dial in some solid 13's. And you should be able to knock it out in a weekend and a case :D

I dont have a fmic on the gsx that was only on my gst sorry i havent had time to update my profile with the gsx specs.. but yes plans are to get link setup first! its cheaper for me becasue i already have to ecu correct?

Intake pipe will be ordered this coming friday, and a boost controller is cheap i can get one whenever really! as for the case im sadly only 18.. haha

Let me know if ya need any help. I'm not too far from you and my project is on hold so I'm bored.

Yep, already having the eprom cuts a good $200 of the total cost of setting up link on your ride.

The "lite" package is about $425.

With link, intake, exhaust, and mbc you should have a solid 13's car.

I'd take care of that stage first and worry about the rest later. It will take a bit of time just installing the mods, then a while longer to learn the tuner. Getting your tune set up is pretty time intensive. Then there's the fun stuff, like studder step/launch control, anit-lag. Then the seat time and finding the right launch rpm etc. So you will have a good bit of time invested in that. Best to take it slow.

I have a guy in town that will do the tuning for me thats no problem thank god he's a beast with a 11 sec 95 so the tuning is no issue, but ya i plan on taking my time getting used to everything and getting it down to a science so i can be as consistent as possible

I would encourage you to tune the car yourself. Otherwise every mod you do to the car will require you to have it tuned by someone else. It'd be cool to have someone show you the in's and out's of DSMLink or get an extra 30-40hp out of the engine for you, but it's such a user friendly system there really is no reason to have someone else setup the base tune.

i see what your saying and will take that into consideration bro maybe ill just get some tips and some sort of baselines from him so that i get the idea of what to do, because in the end my goal is to be able to work on my car without relying on the help of anyone else

These would be my first mods if I were you.

1. Wideband and boost guage.
2. ECMLink V3
3. FMIC
4. Walbro 255 an AFPR and some injectors(650-950cc)
5. A nice MBC and 14B. Port the turbine housing out to 7cm and hog out the inside of it for more exhaust volume.

That alone should net you mid 12's on a good tune. Plus its fairly cheap.

Learn to tune it and tune it as best you can. Then get someone more knowledgeable to squeeze out more power that you couldn't.

I was just at my friends house with all my dsm buddies today and had a talk with one of them and hes willing to sell me his old 20g turbo setup including manifold and 02 housing with 550 injectors, and my other friend thats 42 with gsx (which is awesome) LOL has a safc II that he would sell me and yes i know there junk but i just need it to hold me off until summer because i really cant afford to be without my car while my ecu is getting socketed and chipped because i have to drive to college

My friends car is a rocket with the 20g and i love its quick spool up and has good pull across the powerband and would love to get the setup off him! what do you guys think a good price would be for the manifold.. turbo.. injectors and o2?

I wont put the setup on the car until i have a mbc wideband fuel pump and afpr as well so no worries about it not being done correctly im just trying to piece things together one thing at a time but if i can get his whole setup i would really like to try and do that :D

I'd say 700 bucks tops for everything. But those 550cc injectors are too small for running a 20G. I maxed out some 550s on a clipped and ported 14b.

500 for turbo/manifold/o2 housing. 100 for injectors. 100 for SAFC.

I was actually gonna say about 600 its an ebay one thats ported out and polished it works great tho no problems at all i really like the setup and believe it or not the injectors are fine i was thinking the same thing but the entire setup works great and pulls really hard its enough power for me until i can get link and go with the holset setup i want in the summer

I think your still about $2k+ worth of parts away from needing a 20g or a turbo upgrade at all for that matter. Your not even able to use the turbo you have, why upgrade? You can have a solid 13's car on your stock t25.

Do it right the first time or your wallet will feel the consequences LOL.

Please dont buy that pos. They are absolute garbage when you push them and can not be rebuilt with good parts. Honduh kids get away with them because they never see more then 8psi. Doubt it will last more then a couple 20+psi passes.

DO NOT BUY EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to be in the 12's listen to them.
FMIC
Injectors
wideband
Evo III 16g. Reliable turbo.
Walbro 255 and adjustable FPR
Ecmlink if you have the money or you can get SAFCII and be safe with a small setup until you can afford ecmlink. Im running a hx35@32lbs, 750's, walbro 255, AFPR, crower 272's, and a ton of other stuff but im still tuning with a SAFCII, wideband, and a maf translator. I would LOVE to get Ecmlink but i cant afford it yet and the safc works just fine. Also, ever considered evo8 ecu?? Cheaper and just as good as ecmlink.

He said it was ebay but maybe its not then because hes been pushin 400 hp on it for almost 2 years now so maybe he had some missleading information

How are you running 750's on a safc? i thought you couldnt push more than 660 injecotors without ecmlink? or because your using a MAFT is that whats allowing you do use the 750's?
