Im thinking about buying this motor and tranny from this site. It comes with the ecu clutch and every thing put together. Has any one bought from them or heard any thing before. I saw some post from people that bought their Honda motors from their and they said theirs was in great shape and mostly new gaskets and stuff.

JDM ENGINE 4G63 TURBO 90-94

its a hit or miss deal with companies like that. you might try to youtube it, i have seen a number of videos where ppl say where they got the motor from and said that it was the first start up and it just starts knocking right away or a number of other problems. just a thought.

Yeah I didn't see any thing on you tube from them but tyvm for the response.
Im still not sure what im going to do. My motor just needs rings and a new turbo im pretty sure not done taking it apart yet

if it only needs rings/turbo then i'd rebuild it, especially if you are the one taking it apart, once u get down to the block buy some rings and take it to a machine shop, I just did this and only paid about $180 for them to cook the block and put new bearings and rings in. I live in west virginia and the price may be alot cheaper than where you live. if you do take this route i'd stay away from chrome rings, i've been told that eventually the chrome plating will chip off eventually.

Rebuild.

That's a lot of money, although they did say that all of their motors are "gently used"...

I can understand why in the Honda crowd some motors are more desireable as some of the "JDM" motors did make slightly more power... but what's the advantage here?

if your goin to rebuild the motor i woudnt bug. if u have the money to buy all the expensive parts u will need and got the know how to do it go for it. but if your lookn to buy a motor buy a crate motor they have one for under 3 grand on this site stage 1. your goin to end up spending that much anyway rebuilding yours.
