They do but they make up for it with consistent 60's and perfect shifts without having to let off the throttle and lose of precious tenths through re-spool of a big 4202R.

Also the fact that the car is always at peak power. Never drops under 8500rpm ware as with a 5spd it would drop around 7400rpm which would be about 100hp less then 8500rpm.

WOW, great job! 8's and almost 1,000 wheel horsepower!
Can you share more info on the trans, i have a friend running a similar set up "fuel system, turbo and what not" and he is not sure what do do to make the trans handle the power. He's looking for 800+ awhp, any suggestions for him? Thanks and wow.
