Hey from Nz

Just come back from a summer meet at Taupo

The strip is tacked on to the side of a circuit racing track where they hold our round of the A1GP and the likes. They can only prep around the first 100m until it comes off concrete and goes onto the track.

Car ran reasonably consistent all day and provided the crowd with a bit of excitment on the last run in the semis where is launched okay and then snapped a left rear axle quickly sending it into the left lane.

Got some footage from both in car and from the start line - i must admit i fail as a camera person as i quickly stopped filming when i thought our car might have a meeting with the wall!

Anyway, here is the footage YouTube - Taupo drags 2-1-09

TRYTNC has been tuned to 843 Hp at the wheels @ 33 psi . The 8.65 pass was on around 24 - 25 psi. PB is an 8.46 @ 160mph with 28 psi.

The car is running a Speedtech Motorsport built engine (7 bolt 4G63) 2 litre. It has Kelford Cams Cylinder head with Kelford Cams custom ground billet cams.

It has an HKS T51 turbo, PPG gear set, autronic ECU.

If there is any specific information you want just let us know :)

wow, just....wow.

why did you bold 7 bolt 4g? Hes from new zeland so its likely to be an evo III 7 bolt, plus, only the 2g 7 bolts walk. Even those when built will withstand just as much as a 6 bolt. Theres just a chance that it will walk.

who makes that intake manifold?

It is an Evo 1 block

Intake manifold was made by Performance Metalworks here in New Zealand as well as the headers

from the pictures im sure its safe to assume this car is AWD! SICK CAR!!!! btw how much does this car weigh?

EVO, late 1g, and early 2g are all the same 7 bolt.

The mirage came out here in limited numbers as 4WD so yip this one is 4WD

The class weight limit is 950kg's including driver - the car weighs a smidge over this

I got a little over zealous with the bold function. I didnt fully comprehend or think about an evo motor but the oh wow was more directed toward the psi level and the car as a whole in itself

Insane!
What does it weigh?

oh, well then you'd be wrong. Magnus has a good write up on the difference between the 1g motors and the 2g motors on their website. Mitsu definately changed things up a bit though.

compression ratio has nothing to do with it though, they easily could have changed the pistons without changing anything else, they just didn't.

Until you've taken apart EVO, 1g 7 Bolt, and 95- early 97 7 Bolt Blocks, you can't tell me differently,

It's the same crank and the same one piece thrust washer design.

The only 7 bolt that is different would be the newer evo's and the 98-99 with the split thrust washer design.

Take note, I'm speaking of the THRUST WASHER setup ONLY.
