new lip time

so i've had my dsm for about 2 months now and i love the look of it. it's a sleek aggressive look that i wanted for my first car (yes it's my first car.) Im not so worried about engine work right now, i have a lot of friends that are technicians, my dad is an ex mechanic and i know a lot about that stuff myself.

back on topic, i bought the wheels 2 weeks ago, they compliment the car amazingly in my opinion (adr gt-sport 17") and now i want a lip to do the same.

i want a lip that looks nice, nothing ricey, something that doesn't stand out and say "hey look at my car" but i'd like it to add that little extra.

i saw the Carbon Creations Aero 1 lip and i like it but the only issue is that in a couple more weeks i plan on dropping the car, not slam but getting rid of the wheels gap, maybe like 1.5" in the front and 1.7" in the back, and i dont want the lip to crack or get torn off within a week or two and i end up just wasting money.

if anyone has a suggestion on a lip they prefer please post im open to all suggestions.

i know i said im open to suggestions, but i refuse to be cheap with my car, i dont really have a budget (not spoiled just know how to manage my money.) i leave the home depot mods to the honda tuners.

that's the carbon creations one i was talking about, it's a nice lip but with a $300 price tag it better be make of solid gold. it's #1 on my list for now but if i can find something a little more subtle for a little cheaper then ill put a hold on this one.

i like it, but im not digging the 1/2" drop in the center. i know it was the cupra lip cause i saw it in another thread but they had another lip without the center being dropped. i dont remember the thread though.

edit - the other lip was kinda similar to that.

how difficult was it to put the cupra lip on? it says it's not a direct fit and needs to be modded but what needs to be done have a CLEAN fit? and i stress on the clean part.

Call me old fasioned but if something is #1 on my list I usually have the patience to save up and get what I want instead of settling for #2,3, or 4. Get what you want, not what you think is "ok" for a number figure.

Mine is the RM DSM lip that Mach V once sold. IIRC, they discontinued it a little over a year ago after the mold was damaged.

I absolutely love mine and hope I never destroy it.

as for the other guy, im not coming at you so dont take it that way, but i didn't see too many lips, only 2 or 3, that was just the one i liked most, not the one im going to buy, i have patience to find the one i want instead of the first one i see.

99gst - i like that lip a lot if i could find one i'd buy it instantly it comments the car amazingly, that's the exactly style that i like. it's not flashy.

If it were me I would focus more on filling up the front bumper with a fmic. I would much rather have my front mount smiling at people than a lip being torn off my bumper. Just my .02

The rmdsm lip is by far the best looking one in my opinion. I had one for about 3 weeks before it got messed up (damn illinois roads!), never even had a chance to wash the car with it on. I actually still have it sitting in my garage, I would like to repair it but I have a feeling it will just crack again.

correct, this is my first dsm, before this it was an STi.

i cant afford to do the performance that i'd like right now so i'd atleast make it look how i like. that's not rice.
