new keydiver chip needed?

I have my chip set for 750 rpm idle. Im trying to set it for 1000 so that I have higher oil pressure at idle. I adjusted the BISS by turning it out and it seems to hold at 1000 but sometimes surges. Do I need a new chip for 1000 idle so that it will idle right?

The idle speed is a parameter of the software. You have to change it and readjust the BISS to maintain the normal ISC operation. Contact Jeff for a new chip assuming you bought it from him and not secondhand.
