ok not sure if this has been asked but what if you used a fmic as a cai but put a k & n filter on the exaust side of the intercooler where the turbo is supposed to hook to

sry i was bored but if you think it would work.

It's been thought of before... the IC would act as more of a restriction than anything - no performance gains.

if anything looking at 1hp gain, and with the throttle response gonig down the tube as much as it would. . . it's not worth it.

An intercooler is a heat exchanger. Your intake is drawing air at ambient temperature (depending on where the inlet it). You cannot cool air lower than ambient with a heat exchanger.

also... because of where the piping has to go by from the intercooler... it would probably heat up to the same temp as a CAI anyways... so it's nothing but a waste of money to me... unles you plan on being boosted eventually (i won't go there) then it's just a future investment. 1 more thing you won't have to buy in the future but another thing BEWARE if you put an IC in there while not boosted... i guarantee you will have every nice car trying to run you... LOL
