I just got a cold air intake for my Eclipse. In the package was this part. I have no idea what the hell it is. Could someone please tell me what it is, what it does, and where it goes?

Careful, it might be a tight fit. Might have to wedge it in there. But it should go just fine.

its a huge pain in the ass to get in, at least mine was. didnt quite fit right. but i finally got it in.

when i put mine in there, it was a bi*** to get in there. now it is just wedged in there, and not bolted in.. i couldn't get the bold connected the way it was sitting. i questioned this, and somebody on here said that the horn was in the way, well i looked at it today with another guy, and we couldn't find shit. i just think there is not enough space. so can i get a little bit smaller air filter or what?

no theres room. you have to put the pipe on, and then the filter. the filter cant be on when you put it in. you have to loosen the bolt on the horn and flip it up. then the filter will fit.

can you show me a picture of that.. cause i don't know what you are talking about.

the red circles are around the bolt you need to loosen, then just swing it up. it usually faces out the port hole. you can find it easy. notice the filter position.

the black rectangle with the lines is the horn. its behind the filter now.
