New here with some problems!

I just bought a 1992 eagle talon tsi awd. My first dsm! The mods are fully built engine#

8.5 compression wiesco pistons::#
stock rods, acl bearings::#
new hks cams, stock cam gears::#
brand new head and valves::#
new head gasket , timing belt and water pump::#
brand new stage 3 clutch and flywheel, 6 puk::#
new shepard sport line trans no grinds with newer tansfercase::#
new megan racing turbo manifold and 18g turbo on 18psi::
fic 950cc injecgtors with gm mas sensor with translator::#
#full 3 in exhaust from down pipe back with gutted cat.

The first question is how quick do you think it is? And now to the problem. The guy crushed and cracked the intercooler pipe from the intake manifold and it's not sealed up. And it starts up and runs for about 5 seconds without any vacuum and then dies. I just bout the new intercooler piping and will that fix my problem or is it caused by something else? I've never dealt with these cars and was just wanting to know if anyone knew. I appreciate it. And thanks. #

but in case you didn't read the rules we do not permit bench racing.

the intercooler pipe could be the only cause of your issue but we wont know until you fix that first.

Before the maf. It's right off the intake manifold on the intercooler pipe that connects to the maf.

Okay my bad. I ordered the universal intercooler piping kit off eBay and do you know if this is good and will fit somewhat right without modifying( cutting ) the pipe? Has anyone used the kit before?

If its between the MAF and the intake manifold that would mean its after the MAF. An Ebay IC pipe kit would probably need to be modified to use with a GM MAF.

Okay. Like I said I don't know much about these cars or fuel injected period. I had a carb'd mustang. I'll get the piping fixed and see if it still does it.

UPDATE:: Ok so i didnt know if it wa a boost leak or not but i bought a fmic and finally did that. i have to tape up some wires and hopefully try and start it up friday.. i just started college at OTC and dont have much time for the DSM
