I bought this BOV brand new and ever since I installed it, it gets slightly stuck open and and I can't build boost for crap. I've taken it apart twice now and lubed the internals with white lithium grease. Any idea's and wtf is wrong with it?

Mine's being a bi*** too! When I installed it I was so happy and it held 15psi for the first 30 minutes. I took out the nipple and put teflon sealant on it and tightened it and then tried adjusting the top screw. At the factory setting I can't build ANY boost. If I even get near boost it opens. Anyone????

What, you guys are defintely doing something wrong with yours... Why lithium white grease, why not something else that wont caulk up? Why did you take the nipple off and seal it? Where did you do it at? Did you check after to install it you should double check all your seals and gaskets, all your hoses, and the settings. It comes from the factory stock with the lightest softest settings possible. SO you have to adjust it accordingly that is because other people need different things.... like everything has a play in its performance, like boost, turbo, exhaust, everything. So, sit down, be paitient, and figure it out....

i wonder why its getting stuck
no reason to grease it to solve it
there should be something wrong
is there supposed to be a RING there
as i know type-r greddy has a ring , without the ring there will be a gap

What? Speak English? I cant understand you, and why are you cutting off your sentences? WTF Why should there be something wrong? Maybe he took it out to show us in the pics? That is the GREEDY type R, not the type RS, that is why it is the newest model, maybe that went in the obsolete bin when they manufactured it....

Relax and look at his location before you start bashing him. He doesn't speak good english because HE'S NOT FROM AMERICA. :nono:

My first GReddy RS was defective (opposite problem, it wouldn't open). I tried calling GReddy for some help, the tech took my info and problem and they never returned my call... no surprise there. So I just took it back to the shop and got a new one. No problems since. There is something wrong with your BOV, you shouldn't have to grease anything. Return it and get a new one, don't keep playing with it.

im not an expert r nethin...but it does make sense to just take it back n get a new one...mine worked perfect from the beginin n still works perfect...im running low boost...but still i think u shud juz get a new one, playing with it might make it worse....well juz keep an eye on it since u sed it works now i guess =)

I adjusted mine to a soft setting after playing with it, I went from 10 psi to 20 and its still holds fine. Recheck everything and for the love of god dont grease it up.

I've ben running for 2 days without issues. Lubed everything internally with white lithium grease seemed to do the trick, so don't knock it if worked out for me. Holds perfectly fine and blows off as it should.

yeaps sorry for my english, i aint from here,
what i meant was , there is a problem with the bov , maybe a manufacture defact
so its not advised to open up n just grease em up , its a solution for the time being temporarily but for the long run ? you gotta keep greasing em ?

my advise is getting it cleaned up and sending em back to the shop or dealer to get a replacement :p :beatentodeath:
