I'm not sure of all the mods on my car because I recently bought it pre-modded and haven't had the time to look at it much. It's running a 16g with the stock BOV recirculated and stock boost, recently I've been getting high surging idle around 2k and turning down the idle screw I can get it to idle around 1k, but it stalls when the throttle is released. When I shift it spikes from around 0 to around 6-7 PSI on the stock boost gauge (I know) and sometimes just stays at 6-7 PSI cruising at 40 MPH and runs like crap. This car is my daily driver, but I'm not currently running it because I don't want to damage something. I'm new to turbo cars and was hoping to get some other opinions of what this could be before I start replacing things.

What I would do is get an after market boost gauge, you need to know how much boost youre running exactly. The surging is usually your ISC or Idle speed controller, you should of left your idle alone..

I'm getting a pillar pod with a boost, A/F ratio, and oil pressure soon, but I'm trying to get suggestions as to what could be causing the current problems so I can get my car running properly as soon as possible. As for the idle, it was surging before I messed with it, and since I couldn't get it to idle properly I set it back where it was and I'm back in the same place I was before.

Boost leak test and check the isc. This is a known dsm problem... I've had it happen to me. I also suggest an aftermarket boost gauge. As for the a/f ratio gauge I'd skip that and either save or get yourself a Wideband o2 sensor like the AEM UEGO. This will save you alot of headaches when trying to tune the car later on down the road.

Happy Boosting,
Chris
