I have done research on this and just want to get more openions before i start buying parts that i do not need. both of my front calipers are sticking and the harder i engauge the pedal the more they lock up. whats the chance of both calipers locking up? also im thinking its my soft lines master cylinder is good i done a test on it i had gotten off of this forum :banghead:

also i know the proportioning valve rarely goes bad but does one control both front wheels? or are they front right back left, front left back right ? thanks for the help im just trying to narrow down my problems.

Take the caliper apart and see what is sticking, It will either be the slides, hardware or piston, Open the caliper and try to compress the piston, If it doesnt go in, Try opening the bleeder and compressing it again, If it goes in with the bleeder open the line is bad, If it doesnt go in , Then the caliper needs to be replaced.

I dont see both going bad at the same time often ,But it does happen. Usually it is the slides that stick, They will be tough to get apart, But you can usually clean the hole up with a drill bit or carbide burr. Just be carful not to remove too much material. Like I said, The other thing is the pads freezing into the hardware, Easy fix.

Ive had the same problem, and dont see getting new ones untill these quit working. Anyways, mine is due to rust and the soft lines coming apart and getting on the piston. I took mine apart and took an emory cloth to the piston lightly and reassembled them with new soft lines and no more sticking. This method is what has worked for me. Twice

got it finished it was actually the caliper on the driver side and the soft line on the passenger! id say the soft line on the passenger was there for awhile because i bought the car not running and the caliper locked up 20 miles or so after i was driving it... anyways thanks guys for the tips:hellyeah:
