i noticed the car started to spudder and the idle would drop down, i figured it was just cause the car did completly warm up so i continued on only to find that the car seemed to be making 80hp at times and ran normal at other times. when i pulled over and let the car down to idle the rpm would drop almost to 0 then come back up, then back down. now when i start the car it stalls out unless i keep it runing buy giving it gas. after a little while of this it will go to idle and run fine but when i hit the gas again it surges. also i installed a afc the other day but did not change any settings (because i dont have a wideband). all the wires are right and none are touching. i also acidentally put 89 oct in my car the other day but i dont think thats the problem because it should pull enough timing to not make a difference. last night some friends came buy and we worked on the car, we thought we fixed it because it went to idle when i started it and it reved up normally. we still dont really know the problem but it seemed to work ok when i took the afc out. this morning when i went leave for school the car started up fine but when i went to back it out of the garage the rpm stayed up. wheni hit the gas again it just went up higher, so i tunred the car of and then back on. when i did this the car ran like crap, it seemed like the timing was very wrong. it was poping and the idle would drop really low again. i already am missing my classes for today so any sugestions will be tried as soon as i see them. also there was no boost leaks.
