new gauge cluster

im hooking up new gauges and i need to hook up the wiyers to a good ground and my head light switch but i CANT use my stock dimmer so where is my head light wiyer that i can splice into.

any help would be phat

Ground the wire to the chassis. You do have a stock rev limiter, ~7200rpm.

If you are looking for a hot wire to power your gauge lights, you can splice into the wire that lights up the halo ring around your cigarette lighter.

I just put the power wire to a fuse, and the ground wire to a bolt.

I have taken my car past 7500rpms already so i'm not sure if all cars are different or what..

Thats where I have my gauge lights hooked up to. I dont know why yours would be any different. Your gauge light wire may be shorted to ground.

i blew out under glow wyre on my lighter ring befor i just dont want to try it. but what fuse did you use becouse my brother told me to do it that way if i could

If you use a fuse, find one that is only powered with the ignition switch, such as the radio fuse.

I'm not sure which fuse I wrapped the wire around, As I also have my autometer gauge lighting going off of fuses also. Just a 12v fuse, It may be the ciggerette lighter fuse, I cant remember, But when I turn the key on(Not starting the car) The gauges will be on.

cool thaks but how egzactly do i hook it up to the fuse, do i rap it around the fuse or to the wyre behind it?

You can get clips that go through the fuse blade that have a spade connector on them.

I only wrapped mine around it, Just so the wire is touching the fuse arm thing it's good.

If you dont know what a spade connector is, maybe you should take your car to a mechanic and let him work on it. A spade connector is just a flat bladed terminal used to connct wires together.

got that but i think im going to use a skotch lock on the wyre behind the fuse to do this, do you think that would be easyer sence i have a fue left
