Just bought the FORGE 004 bov and it does not have a flange that connects with my 1g flange any idea on how i can get this thing on? i currently have some off brand recirc. bov and im swapping them out. any help would put me in the right direction

yep thats the one. i know its for german cars but ive seen it on alot of other cars and its a good bov. That adapter flange looks exactly like something i would need but is there any other routes i can take? (going to take pics now)

I do not plan on recirculating it and this whole post is about how to "make" it fit not will it fit. And if we were bowling i guess i would be doing o.k according to you. LOL

Well if fitment was even close to being on your mind before you purchased, you would have bought this valve instead:

So perhaps you're better at bowling than you are at selecting the proper valve to fit your application.

Yes, you probably have seen the Forge valve on alot of other cars but thats because they make alot of different valves that are vehicle specific & bolt right up. If you were a 2g, you could probably make it work, but on a flanged 1g setup your probably SOL unless you figure out how to rig something up yourself.

If you purchased that valve new, return it & purchase a version thats flanged for a 1g DSM (as seen above, they do offer them).

Sometimes the "adapters" on the Forge valves are interchangeable, so you might be able to purchase the 1g DSM flange direct from Forge.

If your running a stock MAF, don't run an atmospherically vented valve.

Been eyeballin this one for a while. Have you ever used any of these Justin?
Installed a Forge BOV on a buddy's Evo VIII to replace the plastic stocker about three years ago, and it's still on his car and working perfectly. Came with all of the necessary springs to tune the valve for the amount of vacuum, and once it was tuned we haven't touched it since. He drives the car every day, even in the winter.

I think highly of Forge's products, although you can still buy a brand new 1G valve for less...but as far as the "bling" factor goes there is no replacement that is as direct-fit as the stocker while remaining tunable and fully serviceable.

Yea i suck at bowling more than i do at ordering parts, got off the phone with forge and I'm going to send this one back and pay the diff. on the one shown above. Probably should take a little bit more time when ordering parts next time :D. thanx for the help guys.

Yeah I got a 1G but it's being pushed up around 16-17 psi. I need something to hold 22-25 psi
