Which one is the best iyo & why?


Well I got a 1g on my GS-T right now & a Greddy Type-S in my shed & a Forge Motorsports on it's way.

Blow off valves are pretty subjective things. As long it doesn't leak, opens even after very low boost, and you like it, its best.

1g BOV, simply because for price/function it'll get the job done. Not to mention when you get checked by the cops, it's a Mitsubishi part . Of course I'm saying this for moderately modified engines. You'll need to garage mod them to take more boost or crush them although I'm not big on crushing them (but again, this makes it a versatile BOV). Also one of the only ones without a china made copy, at least that I know of.

Two for the 1g & two for HKS really is that all after over 65 view's?

imo: either 1g bov or Tial.

1g's are super cheap or free, and work great, mine held 25psi crushed with the penny method.
Then I went with the Tial, the tial is truely an awesome bov and sounds incredible.
However the greddy type s, is about the loudest I think you'll get with a recirculated bov. Mine was very loud on my talon. The tial was super super loud and very good sounding but also was vented, they have a recirculating one now but i dont know how it sounds.

The HKS / Forge /Greddy imo are all bov's that I wouldnt invest in unless you simply want their sound.

The tial q truely is a great sound. If you're going to spend money $150+ on a bov, just spend extra and get the best bov on the market.
I loved mine, it even sounded awesome like this at only 3-5psi

I've run all three at some point (a few others, too) and now run a Tial. If you aren't equipped to vent, go with the 1g, IMO.

Edit: Forgot that Tial makes an AlphaQ.

Greddy type s sounds soooo sexy but it's prone to leaking. 1g bov all day errrry day. The reason that it's so appleaing it that you can find them for $30 shipped all day and they're proven to work. Can't beat oem.

I cant see me getting another 1g BOV, I'm on my 3rd one and cant help but consistently buying ones that leak after a few months!

I would go with Forge due to the price and the flange that bolts directly up to the 1g flange.
But would really like to go with tial at some point in time!

I loved my Type-S Greddy. The only reason I sold it was a guy offered me $100 for it and I bought it for $40. Then I got my HKS Black Ver.2 and love that even more.

Love that BOV !!! Mos def my next BOV...although I love the GReddy Type R

If used HKS, Blitz, Greddy RS, Turbo XS RFL and crushed 1G

Must say for $30 the 1G gets the job done and mine sounds kind of Greddy Type S
