Here is a dumb question but i couldn't find an answer to it. I have a 1996 GSX with Garette T28 installed. I am planning to get the car to about 330HP and then stop on that point, or i will simply kill my self on the road. I know that T28 is rated at 330-340 HP max and i wonder if i will need an FMIC for such a small turbo ? Do you think my stock Smic will handle the job ?

If in case you say that i will need a better cooling system. What would you suggest ? SMIC or FMIC.
I really prefer Smic due to fact that i like the reinforcement bar too much. But really, what would you suggest ?
 
OP you're going the same route I'm going. Evo 9 injectors are 560cc and should cover you to 300hp. 190lph pump is perfect for you too without needing a regulator. Look at my thread "yellow brick road to 300hp" for more info on all the stuff you'll need. As far as an intercooler, I think you should get a small front mount. 300hp and below I feel like is sort of ok to use the stock smic but keep boost low..so not exactly 300hp. Like you said though, upgrading can go as far as you want to grow.

Why do you guys think that 190 should be a better choice over 255 ? i mean yes its more costly... how far can i go with 190, in term of HP ?
 
It's not that the 255 is better or worse that are both great products, you need to decide what your hp goal is to be and build from there. The 190 is good for 400hp it doesn't over run your factory FPR so you do not need to buy one. Decide if you want to expand past the 400hp mark and that is the pump you should go with. You stated you didn't want 400 so we recc the 190 FYI also there are a lot of knock off walbro parts out there be sure yours is real.

That's true i guess... 190 can be sufficient till 400hp which is plenty enough for me. No FPR, thats even better, less money spent. What about "buy the biggest injectors you can afford" why is that ? Can i go with something that will get me to 400 hp ? or i should buy those 1200cc ones ?

Here in Colorado, we have an ongoing new racing facility which will include 1/4 mile and a track. I am more of a road course and track guy instead of 1/4mile. In your opinion, Should i go with LSD or non LSD for the track ?
Plus ( my rear diff says LSD on it, but tires spin different directions, why is that ?)
