new FMIC GM MAF and TIAL, need help

Well I just mean trying to decide on the 16g now because it means new exhaust manifold, injector selection, and 255fp and afpr.

I have a 190 brand new right now, don't know if i want to install it or sell it in new condition.

the 16g is capable of what, 350whp with meth? Alot of cars made today stock are in the 250 range, and some sports cars being closer to 300. I want to shoot for like 400-450 to give myself a barrior of some sort, if that makes sense, I don't wanna barely pass a car when merging on the freeway, I want to make sure I get in front.

And when I get to the track, I would love to break into the 10s. Just so for the term 10 second car is what I can say about mine. I am AWD, shouldn't be too much more work, just more $$ :D

But I agree, keeping the 16g til i get to that 350awhp mark would be my goal at the very least. It just seems hard with the 91 available out here and the meth being required; I really rather not use meth, just out of laziness.

Your car with 350whp would beat most cars from the factory. It takes a lot of weight reduction and good driving skills to run 10's with 400-450whp. It is something I am tryinng to do on the stock bottom end and 50 trim.
 
Yea that is something I just won't know til I drive at 350awhp. The fastest car I have ever driven or been in, was a evo 9 MR. I don't really know what 350 feels like and I may just be happy at that mark. I guess reguardless with dsmlink I could jsut buy 1150s, isn't going to hurt anything, and I will know I never over run them with the 16g.

If I just use the 190, 1150's, no AFPR, where would you guestimate I be at? Would i slowly tune to 18-20 psi on 91 octane and be somewhere around 300 to the wheels? Than with meth turn boost up to 23-24ish and be at 350?

Am I pulling ball park numbers? I mean, hell if no one wants to buy the used 190 FP I am out what, 80 bucks to buy a new 255? I think I may just do that and a rewire. I really wish I had some dsm role models I could meet up with and show me what they done to their cars.

Just trying to figure out my goals and what parts I need. Didn't mean to ask for exacts, but I was after ball park numbers so i know what to buy. You wouldn't have me buy a BB gt42r for 300 to the wheels now would you?

I'll think about it for a bit, and i'll grab the FIC 1150s next paycheck.

You suggest a new fuel rail and filter? SS lines to and from tank? I havn't done any fuel mods before on any of my DSMs.
 
I'd get the injectors, put the pump in, skip the rest of that stuff and buy a wideband instead. The stock lines will be fine.

I would do it in this order:

1.pump
2.regulator
3.injectors
4.wideband
5.lines from filter to rail
6.filter
7.lines from tank to rail
8. drill out siphon in the tank


Aftermarket fuel rails are not needed unless you want to run single digits. The first four I would try to do all at the same time.

A 190 will be fine for maxing out a 16g.
 
would you suggest afpr the 190? Is there any tuning involved with an afpr, or is it just setting the pressure and being done with it? My understnanding of an afpr is it keeps a 1:1 at all times, even if the fuel pump flactuates in pressure?

stock fpr can handle the 190, or no?

The stock regulator should be fine with a 190. The stock and aftermarket regulators raise the fuel pressure 1psi for every psi of boost, yes.
