Calgary,
I'd like to order this long block form Slowboy,

http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1898&

It's the 2.4L, it says that it comes with Comp 101200 Cams.
I'm really big on low end torque, quick spooling so I can get some wicked acceleration out of this thing, so I want to ask them if they could put in a split pattern 101-101-8I and 101-202-8E camshafts.
Now is this a stupid idea since it's a 2.4 L engine? Will these cams make a difference? Or are the 101200 Cams WAY better for this displacement? I'm not sure. This is my daily driver. Eventually I'll be uprading the turbo as well.
Thanks for any advice guys.

That motor probably :rocks: and looks like a beauty. Wish I had the money and know how to drop that badboy in my car. As for your camshaft question  , your best bet would be to e-mail Slowboy since they know all the in's and out's of that specific motor. Best of luck, and I'd really like to know if you go with it, keep me in the loop, I might consider doing the same when I get back to the states.... that's one sweet set-up. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I bought a new 2.0 longblock from slowboy and am in the middle of swapping it into my 97 gst spyder. They do a great job, only thing is they f%$#(ed me over by putting the wrong motor mount on, so I bought it completely timed and ready to go, but it didn't matter cause I had to take all that apart to switch to the correct motor mount. So make sure they put the right one on! And also it took a month and a half to get it to my house, which is pretty ridiculous when i spent $5000 on an engine that didnt even come correct. But other than that they do great work, and I would recommend them, just MAKE SURE they do it right.
