New Deatschwerks DW300 High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump Testing & Review By MAPerformance

Even if the pricing is $600, that is around what you would pay for two brand new 255's and the full blown dual intank setup, not to mention the less headache by running only 1 pump. I couldn't really imagine this fuel pump running $600 but that should put the affordability into perspective for those who need an higher output intank setup.

Hmm i was just about to get a 255.. :hmm:
Looks like im waiting a bit longer till these bad boys come out :D

Wow, 3.5k hours of E85 testing is a huge plus since most pumps die pretty quickly with regular use (Denso died in a season).

Keep us posted and that Stroker DSM is a street beast, nice. :hellyeah:

Since it's a turbine pump :aha: , does that mean I'm gonna hear a mini-spool inside my car? :D

On a serious note, +1 on the interest in this fuel pump. :thumb:

We haven't tested them all back to back yet...there is also the aeromotive unit coming out as well...BUT according to all of the tests I have been exposed to, it looks to me like the DW outperforms them all. The sheets I have seen have been misleading...if you actually take the time to read the graphs you will see what I am talking about. Looks as if the DW holds the longest.

^I realized that too. I think the Jay racing and aero start of with better flow at lower pressures, but well most dont have flow issues at idle, If you check out the 70psi range I believe the DW was holding teh best.

This was a week or so ago, so I could be mistaken. Regardless so far a single intank easy to install pump that will make over 600whp DJ and only cost maybe extra $70, its an easy decision in my book.

The pricing is a actually VERY affordable when you factor in what it does for you. The test car had moderate fueling modifications at the time. One of our Fuel Pressure regulator kits, stock lines, fuel pump rewire kit! Simple as THAT!

Nate

Thank you Nate. That is relatively minor fuel upgrades. I'm still trying to figure out the 500whp on a single 255 and 600whp for the DW on E85. Was this all on 100% E85? What was the base fuel pressure set at? Just seems like some high whp especially for a single 255 on full E85.

To be honest with you, it does, at face value, seem high...but then again, this is really the name of the game here. I don't claim to know all the in's and out's of how these guys do their magic, but what I can tell you is that the numbers are accurate and corrected. I will have a chat with Jordan and see if he can enlighten me

So can i run 2 of these intank without a problem, i know it sounds like overkill but i already have my sending unit tapped for a dual pump set up.

500 on a single walbro ain't anything to special. I made 501 on a single walbro. I was running too high of a injector duty cycle for my liking so i didn't push it more. It seems like this pump coupled with some 1450's would be a perfect match for each other.

That 255 has surpassed any straight E85/70 whp I would have thought possible. How much timing are you running? I'm finding on 19*-25* timing, the 255 running out by showing high EGTs at 400whp on a 50/50 E85/93 mix. This is where I'll be looking at the Deatschwerks when it's available.

IIRC we had a base fuel pressure of 50psi.

This was done with e85 from the pump.

I don't recall our timing values, which are irrelevant as every engine likes something different than the next.

True in being irrelevant from engine to engine since there can be so many different factors. That still won't change though how raising timing in any engine will decrease EGTs allowing you to get away with a smaller fuel pump and higher octane.
