i recently replaced my front passenger cv axle with a new one. For some reason I keep getting this recurring issue where the shaft keeps popping out from the inner end that connects into the trans. When i put it back in its a nice and snug fit and when it comes out it pops outward about an inch. It always seems to happen just as I'm coming in my drive which is a sharp right off the main hwy.
I thought it was a bad front engine mount as even with the new axle I was getting a popping sound when torquing. Upon changing that mount the popping sound has been eliminated but the axle still somehow manages to come out?
Any advice or ideas guys? this is the fourth time it's happened in the past 2 weeks and my gear oil bill at this point could have been better spent on something much more fun for the car.
