Ok i need help, my axle keeps popping out of the intermediate shaft. Its not popping out of the hub. I was wondering how i can keep it in there. The person who put it in, knows what he was doing but, when i was driving home it decided to pop out. I was wondering using lock tite will help with this. I can have my axle keep popping out doing 60mph.

Also i have another problem, it keeps getting rele hot. More or less on the highway then in the city or city and little highway driving. I put in a stock fan in. I was wondering if i should put one of the slim fans in and see if that helps. But i am thinking its something worse like hg, or timming. But i noticed after putting in the stock fans the city driving is better it stays a little cooler. I have searched and talked to dsm people and none of them can help me. I want this car, i dont want to have to get rid of it because of the problems i am having.

If anyone can help me on these two matter, it will help me a lot. Thanks

vin

oh i drive a 93 gsx with a 6 bolt swap and a huge front mount, but people told me even with a big front mount, they would put in a stock fan and it would be good to go. thanks vin

As for the axle popping out, that could be your rear motor mount and/or transmission mount. The overheating could be your T-stat or your radiator may not be getting enough air passing through it. Be sure air can easily pass from the front of the car though the radiator and that none of the fins are bent on the radiator or AC condenser.

well i almost forgot i have soild motor mounts. I replaced the tstat and also the rad. I have no ac
Just trying to get some ideas...

Try a new c clip on the axle [ check if its even there at all] Fill out your profile [Makes it so we dont have to ask and get to the real problem]

where can i get that, and also where can i get the bolts for them. Since the old ones popped out i dont know where to get em. and also that c-clip

it always on. even if the car is isnt on, and it only comes on when the ign is on accl

well the one i am having problems with is new. I didnt do it. A shop on these forums did it. I am not trying to start trouble i just want my car to run, and drive and be somewhat reliable. I am getting tired of this. Theres other people out there with dsm's and there fine. I got the ugly duckling. Only thing is it actually a nice car just the mechanically its crappy. I wasnt told that the c-clip was needed to help keep it in.

Now bout the over heating, its not exactly overheating just getting toasty. I dont know what to do. I changed the tstat, and the rad, i dont no what else to do. I was thinking either hg or timming.

Your axle is seperating at the intermediate shaft right not pulling out of the transmission. Perhaps that little block that is mounted on the intermediate shaft is not bolted to the side of the engine block where the a.c. compressor is.

well i learned in the other post, i am only getting hot when driving on the highway, so which means i have to figure out how to get the rad nice cold air when i am on the highway since the fans cant keep up, while driving on the highway

It looks like i am going have to get the parts at mitsu, the closest misu dealer is like 17miles away, and i rele have no way of getting there. Another question can i use an axle from a n/t and non-abs car. Is there anywhere else where i can get thses bolts and c-clips. IF anyone has them please let me know i can use them rele bad. I still have no idea on how to keep them in there. This is i thik the 2nd or so time its happened.

ok, well it looks like i am going to have to get the axle and bolts and c-clip online. Its gotta be online somewhere. If anyone knows where i can get my hands on this stuff. Please let me know. I hate seeing my car sitting in the driveway..

it sucks i am like in the middle of nowhere, and it doesnt help when u rele have no transportatiom, napa we got that but i dont think they have the c-clip. autozone, nearest one is prob 30 or miles away.

shouldn't even need fans while driving at highway speeds airflow at that speed should be plenty check for air restrictions and then do that block test. The block test will tell you if there is exaust gasses in the cooling system, where you are getting hot at highway speeds when the engine is at higher RPMs very easy to use dir.. are in the box

Any car can be. Turbo DSMs can be very fast but allot of people just get MBC and turn boost way up witch causes losts of problems and breakdowns my GSX has 179k on stock engine with no problems but I maintain it constantly watch my gauges temp all the time
