Hey how's everyone doing.I just finally got my 90 tsi awd to run right and I have a palm m130 datalogger.now my problem is everytime I hit a bump or make a hard pull and want to watch my knock and everthing else the cable that goes into the bottom of my logger moves a little and the screen goes blank mid run,not good.its wierd I have to set it just right for it to read and if the plug moves a bit it won't read,it won't ever just go in straight and stay in.its always at a little slant to get it to read.is there anything I can go about this.it would be great if I could get something similar to a ipod cable that clips in and won't come out until you unclip it.any ideas would be appreciated.thanks for your time.

What kind of cable are you using.
My cable is rock solid,:hellyeah: although mine was a bought setup from Digital Tuning Inc, not a home made deal.
My only suggestion is possibly set up some sort of velcro strip, that you can run across the back of the palmpilot and cable end to hold them together.

The logger I got off ebay,it was a package type deal came with logger, craddle, cables and a cd.I wish I could have a cable that just clips on and stays in.ill look into the name you gave me and I will try the velcrow idea although it might not work.its worth a shot right.

Here you go. PocketLOGGER for DSMs Overview
Do a little looking over the info first and see what you need. They sell a a couple of cables, based on what set up you have. There's one for the OBD port to serial and then there's an adapter that is serial to Hotsync(basically the bottom end of the Palm). You can buy them seperately. The cables are very well made and are plenty long enough for reaching anywhere in the front cabin area of the car. I took a couple pieces of velcro and put it on the back of my Palm and put the other side on the center console so the Palm actually sits up against where the radio would be (my radio is removed and blanked off).

I'm on the road tonight, but if I get a chance, I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow, so you can see.
