I am in the process of building my first awd dsm, so all info on the stroked and boosted 4g63 will be helpful. My goal is the 6-650hp range. I'm already planning on putting a good set of rods in the motor. All help is appreciated

The best help I can give you is to use the search feature.. What you are asking has been asked a million times. If you need help with something that you can't find through searching or that hasn't be asked feel free to post up.

And welcome to the madness. :thumb:

If it's more daily driver I would recommend 2.0 then the 2.3 unless it's your drag car. Everything else is pretty basic and depends on your money, maintenance, dsmlink or aem and then a big turbo. For 600hp range I like the PTE62/62, I made 601 and 30psi on that turbo that should be perfect for your goal, but everyones opinion is different. :thumb:

Not looking for another drag car LOL. More or less looking to build it for a weekend toy to play around with. The stroker motor has been an idea I've been throwing around but its not a set plan yet...... I'm actually in the process of building the head now. Built the outside bottom and sides of the intake side of the head up with epoxy so I can start the port job tomorrow..... has ?anybody done this yet?

Epoxy? like a intake spacer like a Phenolic Intake Manifold Spacer?

Good info on that thread.... thought about machining a billet adapter plate for the intake to adapt the intake I'm building for my head....

But no I filled up underneath and the sides of the ports up with epoxy so for 2the reasons......

#1 added strength

#2 port size

The type port job I'm doing is actually cutting a very small canal "hole" on the floor and 1 side of each port. The port job is very extreme and it has a reason and formula behind it...... everything matter Cam size " custom grind", amount of boost/nitrous, compression, bigger valves, I'm even changing the valve degree in the head...

Ppl say I'm crazy when they see the port work LOL.... it works on the race car and drag bike so y not on the dsm?

All input and comments are welcome noone hold back please.....

To answer the question the epoxy pretty much creates a new floor where the canal is cut through

Make sure you get h beam rods, no d beams
for that hp goal, id get youre engine machined
I would get at least a stage 2 head, possibly a stage 3
arp headstuds, all the good stuff for the valves as well
there are some other things, but don't forget bolt on stuff too.
probably need a good radiator, hell of an fmic, and probably a magnus SMIM (sheet metal intake manifold

good luck with this, but its all up to you

So you have all this porting formulated and figured out for every little detail of your engine but you haven't even figured out what size engine youre going to build in the first place???
