So being my first dsm i can honestly say other than the stupid idle surge problem amazing cars. Now im trying to do this build right, and rebuild this car from the bottom up. My question to anyone who is interested is...My car is more or less stock except the dejon intake i have which you can see in the picture. I drive this car as my everyday car also. I would like to eventually get about 300 hp out of it but still keep it smooth to drive and also somewhat reliable to where i don't have to do complete maintenance after every time i drive, if you know what i mean. So, my question is what are some good bolt ons i should be looking for at a good price range for what i want to do with the car?? Also ### no body mods , performance before looks for me. Also i want to make sure i have this car for a long time. I just recently replaced front and back hub assembly,alternator,wires ngk, plugs, ngk getting idle surge fixed as of now so more than likely, a cleaned maf throttle body new isc and egr and new o2 to just make her purr. Any product from bov, to tires, turbo internal or external wastegate all that fun stuff?

read thru this.. if you want reliable dont mod it do maintenance and clean it to perfection.

there are 20 years of proven setups out there that are well documented. to start a thread and say tell me what i should do isnt going to benifit you because of several reasons. namly the budget you have. is this the only car you own. do you have to dd this car etc.

Recipe for 300-350hp

16g turbo (any version)
Minimum 650cc injectors
Intercooler Upgrade (highly suggest FMIC from VRSF or Punishment)
Walbro 255hp fuel pump
DSMLink V3
Boost Gauge and Wideband (quality Wideband is essential!)
Boost controller
ARP Head Studs
Stronger clutch (recommend South Bend SS TS)

While not nessescary, it's recommended that you remove the balance shafts. Also, be sure your 100% up to maintenance before any mods including timing belt, trans service, etc. Keeping up on maintenance and researchig before buying will keep the car reliable.

So far I have it in the shop. Replacing all belts, cleaning throttle body, cleaning mad as stated, new alternator and plugs, ngk copper. Also replacing all line break lines fuel lines etc. I'm waiting for my ball joints and arms to get ride of all rust in the car. Than buying all new bolts etc. Thanks for the help guys

Thanks 3k I am doing all basic maintenance etc. And thanks for the link it was awesome of a read to get an idea of what I can do. Also sorry about being very wide on what I asked. I really like to plan and get all the info I also do have other means of transportation my fiancé's Kia . But I can't to without my eclipse xp.
