Why u going .30 over is your block needed to be borred that big? Why 288 cams are u running a big as turbo? Everything else is medioker should be fine. What's your HP goal anything under 400whp. Doesn't need a lot people run those numbers on practicly stock blocks. Apr head studs are pretty much all really need.

The question is why not. Just do it now and have it done. I would like to see the 650-700 range eventually just to do it. As far as a turbo I am still up in the air about it. I am building because my block seized due to a faulty oil cooler gasket, so I figure might as well go nuts.

It will get there but all needs to be built around something first. My thoughts are just that of why build another "good motor" when all i think of is that I want more everytime.

2.0 block bored .30 over
line honed Okay
balance shaft delete use race shaft IMO
oem mitsubishi oil pump Good choice get straight cut gears
arp main studs Okay
arp l19 head studsExcellent
ffwd connection butcher lightened/ knife edged / race balanced crankOkay
acl trimetal main and rod bearingsBi metal IMO better, more forgiving for the street
ffwd connection forward facing oil filter housing Will need to be shimmed for more oil pressure upper rpm. the forward facing filiter has a tendency IMO to lower oil pressure and this could be dangerouse up top considering mitsu engineers didn't have in mind that the mghty max truck would ever see 8 to 9 thousand rpm
mitsubishi water pump Excellent
gates racing timing belt okayand all new oem timing components Excellent
modified oem water pipe for large turbo setup and no heating componentsOkay
weisco 9:1 coated skirt pistons Okay
manley h beam rodsExellent
felpro permatorque headgasket There are better choices I know from personal experience
slowboy stage three head port/polish Okay
1mm over valves I would stick with stock size! Unless you plan on a 1000 plus hp. If you ever think of going oversize to benefit you have to change the seats to one that will accomondate the bigger valve the correct way
ffwd connection beemad high rev springs w/ titanium seatsExcellent
stainless steel valve retainers
crower 288 cams Weakest part of engine
aem cam gears Okay
hyundai valve coverThis is what I used but I shaved off the Hyuandia
ngk bre6 plugs 170 degree thermostatWay to go
stock oil pan w/ -10 turbo return fitting Cool
all sensors still on engineExcellent mean you would like to drive her to the store on saturday evening for a six pack so you can relax
zaklee clear cam coverNot familar with
-4 turbo feed line
cool Just my personal $.02 ;)

Thank you..I figure it is all about fun so why not have some.

I know what you mean. I think this is what its all about:cool: Fun!! I really love my car the ultimate fun machine;) If you have some question I can help via pm if you like;)

All the gauges are already in, I just seized, my 7 bolt due to a faulty oil cooler o-ring and oil pressure dropped to fast to save it. So the only thing I am missing to put it all in is a flywheel there doesn't seem to be any locally

I agree, build an engine for more abuse(read: horsepower) than you plan on throwing at it. Better safe than sorry. Gotta say the one thing that stands out like a sore thumb is the crower cams. How about some kelford 272s? Those seem very popular and ive heard nothing but the best about them. I like my crower 272s but i wish i had spent a few more bucks and went kelford.

I went with the crower cams because them came from a friend brand new for nothing. Just helping with my build( prob just wants to drive it). So for now I am more than happy with them at the price

Well they are better than stock and I personally know a few people who have had success with them. Keep us posted:thumb:
