2G Need your opinions on which shocks.

I bought a while back a set of skunk2 coilovers that I planned to use with either koni's or agx's. I recently was told that for very spirited daily driving, occasional track, and occasional autox that the Tokico High Performance shocks would be all i needed.

What is your take on the coilovers with the HP non adj. shocks? Going on a 98 GST

well coil overs are going to give you a more spongey and bouncy ride where as new springs and shocks seperately will define a suspension and make it do more. Skunk 2 specializes in Honda material. I dont know what it would be like on a DSM. Its your choice good luck.

coilovers have springs in the MADE for that shock setup. different suspension parts from different companies can have incompatibility issues as far as quality and how well they work together. I have heard ppl have issues with TEIN and JIC, havent heard much about skunk2's but they dont impress me. I have D2 coilovers and LOVE them, i have never ever heard a bad word about them. there is much talk about them on here if you search in the handling forum.

I have a buddy that has the skunk2's on his 2g and he said they're exactly like the GC's except they don't have a specified shock app. that you have to use. But he also said that he had hte GC's before he got the skunk2's and the skunk2's were a little more stiffer. I'm just wanting to know how the tokico HP's are going to do..

My opinion is to get the KYB AGX's and Eibach Pro Kit. Cheaper than most and does the job.

On my 2g Talon I had a set up Tokico Shocks and Struts that did very well for me, It was mostly for street, and it left a good drop on it too.

Ran me about 370 on eBay for the full set.

It is def. worth a try

i have tokico adjustable shocks with tien springs and i love them.
