1G Need your opinions on BOV's

um i want to buy a greddy type-s blow off vavle, but i dono if i should yet, all i keep hearing is BOV's are bad for your car??? and i want to buy the greddy mechanicle boost control both have good prices and are brand new but im compltely stock so im wondeirng if i should get them or not....thanks

BOV's are not bad for your car. Your car already has one. If you plan to mod your car, which you are, you will need an aftermarket BOV. If you car is a 1G then I say keep your stock BOV cause the 1G's don't leak boost like the 2G BOV's do. You probably read on the site that venting your BOV is bad, which I will not get into, there is enough info on that already. Hope this helped.

Well, you don't NEED it, but as long as you recirculate it the way the way the stock CBV is, it will be fine, and sound a little better.

i recommend trusting the tuning guide, and try to meet some other people interested in dsms in your area; it's always better to learn from someone else's mistakes
