Need your opinion on GReedy BOV's

I have a GReddy Type RS and a NGR Type S no complaints about either of them but I only run 16psi on the t25.

Go NGR Type-S. I love the sound and its been proven to hold boost better than the greddy ones.

Why any of those when you can get a crushed 1g bov to be able to actually hold the amount of boost you throw at it and it not prematurely open. I have a greddy type s on my stock gst, but it wasn't for me to throw tons of psi at it. It was more of, I'm a kid listen to my bov!! Ha. I don't really like the bov anymore.

Then I'd have to run gm maf, get a translator and change my intercooling piping tho.

Get a NGR i got one after my greddy started to leak at 15psi NGR held strong at 20psi

Hks ftw and you can get the recirc fitting for it. That's what I run on my eclipse and will never switch unless it's to tial. I went thru like 3 different greddy's they held up for abit but all failed at some point. Not knocking them just won't use them again, Id use a crushed or modded 1g before greddy. On another note have always heard good things about the ngr ones.

You just slide your recirculated tube on and tighten it.

I've been using the GReddy Type S for years now. No leaks. Has seen 40psi hundreds of times.

I'd be willing to fight ya for it .
I have not had one single complaint in the years I've had mine.
No leaks what-so-ever.
But to each there own. Just my 2 cents

I ran a Greddy Type RS years back for a short amount of time. Didn't have any issues but I had too many other issues with a couple of other Greddy products I ran (repairs being required, some needing a couple repair when only months old, each time taking months before I got them back), so I decided to ditch all Greddy products.

HKS SSQV holds boost fine but it flutters (or doesn't blow off enough) at basically anything under 20psi. 1g valve holds 15psi or so, not modded, crushed will hold more but this isn't an ideal way to run the valve (ie its a hacked method, which most DSMers think is the way to do things). If you want higher boost with the 1g, do the "dodge garage" mod.

Hands down, Tial is the best BOV I've owned (& Ive ran 6 different ones)

Crushed 1g bov's are kind of old school. You can do the dodge garage mod to them and they work better and will hold any amount of boost that you throw at them. When you crush them it limits the amount that they will open and also makes them less efficient.

If you want something that won't leak. Get an Hks.

I've found the hks to be hit and miss. I've had a few that held real well, and a few that leaked right out of the box.

A properly set up type s with a good diaphragm is probably one of the best bov's that you can run. The type rs i like better though because the piston is a larger diameter and vents the pressure faster.

Go Tial, my Greddy is so sensitive to adjustment and its never perfect. I would prefer to have a bov where you install it and forget about it, one last thing to tinker with.

My old Greddy type s holds at 25 and ive seen spikes peg my gauge(30+psi) without it popping open. No experience with either of the others but the greddy should do you just fine i would think.

The only change you would need to make is in the flange and you can get a bolt-on style flange from jay racing. You can get recirc fittings for them.
