Need to tow 2g gsx without trans in, possible?

Is is possible to tow a 2g awd 6 bolt without the trans in it. The problem is that the engine needs to be supported since there is only one motor mount on the engine, the driveshaft is not attached to the transfercase and both axles are not attached. Im having issues getting the trans in myself so I am going tow it to a shop 40mi from me on a flatbed, if possible. Has anyone towed their 2g awd without the trans or have any input how to? Thanks

If you are towing it on a flatbed you can leave your driverside shaft in there and bolted up to support the steering knuckle so it all stays together. Depending on how far the car will be actually traveling on it's rear tire's, you will have to completely take the driveshaft out so it doesn't spin in there while the rear tires do. As far as the passenger. Bolt everything back together minus the axle. That will allow you to be able to move the car enough to get it on a flatbed. I moved my car 2 blocks once with no driveshaft and no trans in it. Held together fine. As far as the one motor mount goes, take a piece of wood that will stretch all the way across the car from fender to fender and loop a chain around it then around a secure part of the engine for that small amount of time.
