Ok guys, im going to be putting a body kit on my car but I really can't decide between 3 front bumpers and id like your thoughts. It will have a black CF hood and I want the body either st patricks day green ( im irish and damned proud of it LOL) lambo orange, or dodge viper blue. Which bumper and which color do you guys think would be the coolest.

I don't like the second one at all. The first one isn't too bad. The vents are kind of big on the sides. I guess the last one? I don't really care for the ramps on the side, but they're kinda alright.

I actually think the last one would be kinda tight if you shaved the vents on the sides that stick out, filled in the hole, smoothed it, and just kept the ramps.

Keep in mind the last one has fender flares n stuff. Won't look the same for you.

any that youve looked at other than these that you find to be extremely badass?

The second one is just a copy of a Bomex one i have one and love it.
If the green car in your pic is yous, thats hella awesome dude. LOL, green with a CF hood. i want mine a little darker green though...like cryptonite

also, if any of you know of a place that has a wider selection than andysautosport post a link please

Personally,

I would go with the 1st one.

XD one of each so far LOL... what does the AWD swap do for the car...more traction....but anything else?

I would go with the 1st one.

It`s kawaski green it makes it stand out. Got all my body kit off ebay cheep and not to hard to fit.

ew ew and ew but if I had to pick one I'd say the second one. The first one reminds me of the failed attempt of the 1gb front bumper they made years ago and the third one is way to fast and furious. I think 2g's look great in Blue :thumb:

yeah im wanting to avoid being called Brian warner or ricer, while still having a badass looking car.

Want to avoid those names? Ditch the body kit idea.

Only a moron would call someone a ricer simply bc of a body kit

What driver?? I don't know what your asking LOL. Brian Spilner was the fast and furious guy. I don't like body kits personally but you have to admit there are quite a few ricers rolling around with fugly body kits raving about how fast there cars are which some actually are but most are not. Some guys like go fast mods some like visual mods to each his own in my book. I like a car thats fun to drive meaning it handles great and has some nuts when I romp on the gas. Its much more rewarding to me than a car that looks mean or fast but it really isn't LOL. If its only the attention that your after then hell yeah a huge body kit will def give you that.

Go with the first one, its nice and clean. The second one is too showy and the third one is everywhere. F and F killed the 3rd one.

The first one "could' look alright with a little modifying.

Heres a super quick photoshop of how id modify it to flow a little better. (as in body lines, not airflow)

the little kid next to the car

Really? im not asking for all the people saying "Ricer, that looks horrible, dont put a kit on it"
thats like these people that ask how to build a 420a and then all the ass holes come out of the woodworks and say "sell it and buy a gsx" they didnt ask what car they should get they asked how to build a 420a. like me, im not asking should i put a body kit on or not, im asking "what one should i put and what color would look good" so...if what you have to say isnt "i like this particular kit in this color" then dont post anything at all.

^ that is a ricer

I had a body kit on my eclipse. There made of fiberglass and isnt to good for PA roads. Keep that in mind. My front snapped when I hit a rock. I was a snowplow in the winter. I like the bomex kit. I would spend the extra money and get it in urathane. The back bumber on mine flew off on the highway. There just poorly made. But this was just my experience. I like the stock bumber in my opinion.

These are all very (count on them happening) common problems. Body kits destroy most peoples idea of the dsm aesthetics value, leaving your fans to be 90% pre-pube middleschoolers, 9% douchebag ricer fanboys, and you. They disintegrate within a few years (find me a picture of a 5+ year old body kit in good shape) and they ruin ANY retail value the car has (anyone with half a brain in their head will tell you to avoid body kit cars like the plague when they are looking to get a car).
In the end, you'll have it for a few years, grow up a little, and start thinking about the money you sunk into it that you'll never see out of it, and how you are tired of everyone laughing at you. Then you'll end up selling the car for a huge loss, having to explain to every prospective buyer why you have a body kit on a non turbo dsm, and how "easy" they are to take off and return to stock.

Boohoo, you asked about peoples opinions on body kits on your N/T. Of course people are going to laugh at you, look at where you are, this site doesn't exactly cater to N/T's that want to look flashy without having any balls.
This forum is suppose to be for DSM OWNERS!!! N/T and Turbo. its people like you that make N/T people feel unwelcome. Sorry i dont have $7k to throw into my car. i asked for opinions on the 3 kits i posted, i didnt ask people like you to reply with a bunch of bs. thanks bye.:thumb:

Know why I don't say much in body kit threads or NT threads? I don't click on them. Take lessons, kiddos.

OP check Rule 5. No sense reporting a rule violation while violating a rule.

You are doing what some would feel to be unnecessary body enhancements, that do not improve performance of the car... I could more-so understand if you were wanting to do 2Gb upgrades to a 2Ga, but most feel that body kits are unnecessary, only one or two actually serve a function for racing applications and they aren't on your list. You already have a 2Gb Eclipse body, which is one of the best looking import's made.

Are you intending on only getting a front bumper? Take a look into the new bumper that Extreme Dimensions is coming out with, actually looks nice.
