Ok so heres the deal, i've got my whole engine apart on my 97 talon and i'm ready to pull it to replace the crank. My problem is I didn't realize (think about) my AC. I cant exactly take it down to a shop to drain the system right now. So how can I do it myself? I can't find a how-to anywhere.

yeah but the system is still charged and starts blowing like crazy if I try and disconect it. ??

Dont disconnct your lines. Just unbolt the compressor from the motor and try to push the compressor towards the firewall away from the motor and pull the engine. This way you wont lose any freon and you can just rebolt the compressor and start it up. Hope this helps.

That is the correct and legal way to do it.

OR the wrong and illegal (and faster and easier) way to do it, is to the cap off of the A/C line (circled in green) and stick a screw driver down into the valve slot.
