Need quick help with removing fuel pump

This does not seem right at all. I am pushing away on the 19, and pulling towards me on the 14 correct? "That is if im laying on passenger side". I am stripping the 14 with the vice grips. I am a pretty strong guy, and this thing absolutely will not budge, even being hit with pb blaster over and over.

This is really starting to annoy me.

Use a flare wrench. You probably can't now. You e already got the fitting at the pump and you're working on the other one under the car? If so dont bother. The only one you need is at the pump assembly.

No, I cant get the fitting at the pump either.

If I try to get the fitting at the pump, I start the bend the metal line.

I am using 2 flare wrenches now, with no luck. Not budging. Constant PB blaster.

THis is correct right?

I am done with this. I can't break the fuel tank fitting loose because I just bend the hell out of the metal line. I cant undue the fitting under the car because it needs the hulk or something. I just broke a bracket the holds a line up under the car. It shot at me like a freakin bullet.

Things I have tried
*Flare wrenches
*PB blaster
*WD-40
*Vice grips
*Both top and bottom fuel fittings.
*More PB blaster.

Any help would be awesome.

You need to get a flare wrench on that 14mm before it strips out and your F'ed.

Line the wrenches up so you squeeze them together. Works like a charm.

EDIT: Ok missed the part where you got flare wrenches. Try my trick tho! :)

Negatron.

I already have my 550's and afpr installed. Might just put everything back together without pump and throw a quick tune with link :notgood:

This was supposed to be a relaxing day of installing something simple. This has turned into the most irritating car day by far. I cant even get the fuel pump O ring on... This is so rediculous...

I know how u feel im in the middle of putting an evo fuel pump in and i swear whoever lubed the 2 fittinf on top at the factory used sand and a torch.

The fitting ontop for me looks a lot less rusted. But everytime I try to get good pressure and turn the fitting, it starts twisting the metal line :ohdamn:

Lets just keep the word "torch" out of this thread. :p

I seriously would have looked up how much that line cost and just the dam thing off by now. Also this may be your DD and cash isnt as easily spared. . .

1g guys, this is different. The nut doesn't turn on the 2g sending unit, it is brazed to the tube. You have to unhook the hose from the other end where it hooks to the fuel line than spin the hose to get it off. The nut will not break lose.

I'm 100% sure your correct, but I swear when I took apart my 1995 AWD Talon,(AWD swap for GST) I removed that line thinking I would need it for the swap.

I was also about 8 beers past sober. . .

This is correct. The nut is attached to the line. I was hoping I might be able to twist the hose enough to get it off, but I cant even break that hose loose.
