Just bolted up my 20g, and now got a coolant leak. Its the only thing holding me back. I dont no where the leak is coming from.

It looks like one of the pipes, there are 2 of them that run across the block. I cannot pinpoint where it is. Any ideas? I thought maybe its running down near the waterneck, but havent found anything.

I really dont want to have to pull my turbo off again but i canot locate this dang leak....

Make sure all of the lines are tight, first.

Second, if there are any rubber hoses that you think could be leaking, make sure to clamp them down tightly and securely. Even the slightest bit of a gap can cause a horrible leak.

Its not one of the rubber hose lines coming off the turbo. I already checked those. I sat under the car and watched for the leak.

It is dripping off one of the metal pipes. To be specific, the coolant line that comes off the upper tstat housing and bends down towards the turbo. (Not the big water pipe) But RUNS ACROSS the block.

Now i dont want to keep running the car, with the leak, so is there away to get pressure in the system to find the leak? (Not a BLT or would that work) It only leaks when the car is running.

Mine had a leak there I just fixed. That small waterline that runs to the OFH rubbed against the waterpipe one to many times and wore a nice gash into it. It took all of 5 mins to pull and fix

I'd say pull the line and fix it.

One way you can do it, though, is to basically do a BLT on your coolant system. Same concept.

^^^ I have done that man, but the problem is i have this big ass 20g sitting there. I was guessing from the top of the tstat housing and it running down the pipe, but its not.

I guess im going to pull the one small line going to the OFH and see it its got a gash in it.

Ok, so the coolant line from the oil filter housing, hard to take off?

So me and my friend tore the car apart, looked everything over and put the turbo on. Finally realized whats going on. The turbo compressor is pushing the water pipe and forcing it to open and leak. Only thing we could possibly find that is the cause.

So we took off the water pipe so i could put a little dent in it, this way it wont push, and i need new gaskets. Anyone no the part number or where to get them? There are 2, one goes into the water pump and the other to the tstat.
