I'm looking for pictures of the engine bay... with crossmember, without crossmember, with engine-tranny, without.

Just trying to see the layout of a 1st Gen engine bay. Thanks!

BTW: If you have a pic of the front crossmember/hubs out of the car that would be great too..

Like this? I took this picture when I was installing my engine. I'm sure someone has something better but maybe this helps.

That helps out man :). Thanks..

Keep em coming.

Here's a question tho. On my car that middle crossmember unbolts out with 6 bolts.

That contains the control arms, hubs, brakes, steering rack.. Does your lower crossmember see in the picture unbolt from the unibody?

What are you trying to acheive? If you were simply after pics, you could have surfed the gallery.

These are they only two I have

I have. Found a couple pics of engine bays.. But I really need to know if the front suspension/crossmember unbolts. Also if the rear suspension/crossmember/diff unbolts.

What I'm trying to do is use the drivetrain from a 1st Gen eclipse AWD into a car that has no drivetrain. So I'm trying to figure out if these pieces come out in 1 assembly.. or are part of the unibody.

Also, what gears are in the rear diff?

Wheres your steering shaft come out? Behind that crossmember? I would imagine the rack is back there? Anyone got any under car shots?

it's a secret project

I had thoughts of making an awd hybrid out of my focus zx3 shell I have. Yes it would involve alot of fabrication. That doesnt scare me.. but I'm just trying to find out what engine setup will make the most sense, and yeild the best driving car.

By the time I have some pics for you it will about 2 months or so from my 91" Tsi engine and tranny rebuild, but like someone else mention look at the galleries and tech manuals those would give you pretty good ideas for what you want to do. Good luck !!!!!!
