1st gen engine bolt up to a 2nd gen tranny?

i have a 95 eagle talon awd turbo 5 speed.it wouldnt start.and a mechanic checked it out. he said some of my valves are bent.a guy is selling me a 4g63 out of a 1990 gst.it aslo came out of a 5 speed.will the 1st gen. engine bolt up to my 2nd gen. tranny?????

Yes it will. There are a lot of threads about this. The motor you are getting is a 6 bolt. It's a common swap.

It will but you will need to source a 6-bolt AWD flywheel.

yup, its pretty much a straight forward install.. unless if u wanna put in the 1g together with 1g tranny, then you have a problem.

So I bought the engine. I'm gona need to put a 6 bolt flywheel on the tranny?. And then what else will I need? I herd u need to cconect the cam angle sensor to where the crank positioning sensor used to go?. And will I need a different ECU? Or will that be it?
