I hope I am posting this question in the right section. If not I am sorry and pleas let me know where it should go. Thanks!

I have a 1995 Eagle TSI AWD. I have been thinking of havinf it swapped to a 1st gen (6-bolt) engine. My questions is this:

I have access to a nice 1st gen 6 bolt engine. It is from a 92 eclipse. The car that the engine is coming out of is FWD and automactic but mine is AWD and Manual...... does this matter or will everything line up and the be the same? (I know about the wiring harness and the part that has to be shaved for the water pump to fit).

Any help would be greatly appreciated......

Thanks!

I'm no expert, but I know at least a few things.

And one of those things is that Automatics came with smaller turbos than their Manual counterparts, along with, I believe, either different camshafts, or cam gears. A few other things are different as well, but I can't recall them.

Keep that in mind when you're lookin' to swap motors. I'd suggest you find a manual if you can.

I've read somewhere that the flywheel is heavier on the AWD....
