I am a proud owner a used Eagle Talon 92, 176k miles, and very new to DSM manufacturing, and would like to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. I don't have a manual for the car and don't have any solid specs or knowledge on anything but from what I can see.

2.0L DOHC
Eagle Talon 1992

I'm very savvy with the internet and the search function on forums as I am a member of many.

I've inserted a tinypic url so you can see the engine.

There are several problems with this engine, but I'm not going to go into that now going to search for it once someone can help me with the exact model type whether its a TSI or not or "N/R" or does that even matter? Thanks for all the help,

btw the forums look awesome!

Thank you guys for the input, I've got some cleaning/fixing of this sucker to do. Has a cracked radiator top, if you can see the picture. Cranks and Turns Over but it dies right after.. either spark plugs and wires, bad fuel pump, or starter. I'ma diy kind of guy, was also told it may need a new throttle body, can't wait to get started!

Thanks for all the help guys!

also what does that "n/a" in n/a 4g63 stand for? i know its not "not applicable" LOL

"naturally aspirated", meaning not force fed, so not a turbocharged or supercharged engine.

woops, got beat!

I have picked up a few used cars in my day, some have a VIN decoder or the dealer can do it. The vin will give you all the options for the car. IE I didnt know if the BMW I bought had sport suspension or not and the seller didnt know, the VIN answered my questions. Some cars have the option list printed on something thats sometimes store with the spare tire, etc.

Do I have to go to a dealer or is there way to do it online?

I've found a few websites but want to know if they are legit..

4g63 is the engine that is in the car, they either have a 6 bolt(bolts on flywheels) or 7 bolts. the dsms that are 90-94 usually have a six bolt engine which are the sought after ones. and 2g dsms, 95-99 usually have the seven bolt unless it was swapped. The best think to get for your car would proably be a haynes or chilton manual. (i dont know if chilton makes one for the first generations). i had a haynes when i first bought my 91 gsx and it answered alot of questions for me. this form is also a great tool, and there are alot of knowledgeable people here as well. Good luck with you ride! its clean! :thumb:
