I am installing speed density on my car and need some assistance installing it. I will be wiring the IAT and the 4 Bar MAP into my GM MAF cable since the wires have already been separated for them. I am wondering if anyone can show me a diagram or tell me how to wire it. I found this article: gmmafiatbaro [ECMTuning - wiki] but it doesn't make since.

On the IAT there are too wires that are both identical too one another that are labeled A and B and I'm not sure which wire to connect them too on the harness.

Also according to the article it says that I should not connect the power wire to the harness. Is this correct??? If so how will the unit be powered by just a signal wire and a ground.

Thanks for your help in advanced

"When wiring an IAT to the GM MAF cable breakout point, you will only need to use the ground and signal wires" The wires labeled as IAT use the Black and yellow. The sensor istelf dosnt care which way you wire it

As for the power wire cut it short and tape it up. You dont need it for the IAT

The IAT sensor is nothing but a variable resistor changing its empedance depending on the temperature. As long as you mave the MAP sensor wired correctly you should be golden

This is how I'd wire it up...

IAT Wiring
It doesn't matter what wires goes where coming out of the back of the IAT sensor, both can go to either a ground or signal wire.
- Cut the GRN/ORG wire at the MAF connector pin 8 (IAT signal).
- Cut the GRN/BLK wire at the the MAF connector pin 6 (sensor ground).

Omni MAP Wiring
- TAP the RED wire from the MAP into the GRN/RED wire coming from pin 1 of the TPS connector (5v power).
- CUT the GRN/BLK wire coming from pin 1 of the EGR valve connector (sensor ground) and solder it into the BLK wire of the MAP sensor.
- CUT the BLU/YEL wire coming from pin 2 of the EGR valve connector (EGR valve signal) and solder it into the BLU wire of the MAP sensor.

These instructions are thanks to Gofer. This is how I wired mine and it's been working great. This is without the plug and play harness and with no MAF. More info can be found on this thread. Hope this helps!

bringing this back up. I have a gvr4 and they didnt come with the egr input connector so im wiring up my map sensor to the mas. From what i know is connect the map sensor signal wire to a green w/yellow stripe from the stock mas harness but there are 2 of them. Pins 4 and 6. Which one one do i use?
