ok, as some of u know, my engine seized a while back, and the mech replaced it with a used one, and my warranty paid, but also he said he put in new engine and tranny mounts, and a radiator. i was looking at the engine today and I noticed white rubbery stuff like the stuff used to seal pipes under the valve cover seeping out, but it was solidified.
this makes me think he rebuilt the engine and not replaced it, anyway i can find out for sure? i have had problems with this mech over this situation and can not talk to him directly

to be honest it could be alot of things.....could be a rebuilt engine, i know working for advance we sell them...odds are he bought a engine probably used w/ low miles and used some of your old parts for it such as ur valve cover ect and just used the white stuff you saw to seal it. More than likley thats what he did just bought an engine off a junk yard or somthing....

got it cleared up, my old engine is sitting in the backlot of the station, and hes going to let me have it free and thers 4 other engines back there that i can have, should i take it and try to sell it as parts or not worth the hassle getting someone with a truck to get it for me?

get all the motors, you can always sell the for cash or try and trade someone for parts I've done it and got a full kit and leather seats off of a few parts because of trades.
