92 tsi running haltech

Well it seems there was a crack in my left tailight, and water was accumulating in there, I didn't know as I didn't drive the car daily for over a year. Now that it's nice and I have it all running well I have been driving it daily.

So, I pull into 7-11, get some goodies and come out and hear a couple clicks and boom no power in the car. I check all the fuses and all that jazz, and can't figure out why if I turn it to acc, it will show power on the dash (open door light, and wipers work), but if I turn it one click higher, power just drops from everything in the car. Connect and disconnect the battery, disconnect my haltech, etc.. basically tried everything. Seems when i turn the lights on and connect the batter I can hear the relay which says Tail infront of the batter buzzing. Head to the rear and see my left tailight is full of water and heance I assume, since one bulb is just blown up, that that is the cause.

I have since replaced the relay, did not replace the tailight but clips are not connected, now today I hook the battery up, and my seatbelt motors start to buzz, disconnect them, and I am still in the same situation. I have disconnected all connectors from the rear tailights, still no dice. Same thing, power at ACC (but it's low to the system, cause my LM1 shows me the low power warning). Battery tests fine at over 12v with the multi.

I have never been an electrical genious, but I have no idea what this could be. Any help is appreciated.

Oh yeah one great part was my window is down, so I can't get power to turn it back up, even at ACC, if I try and raise it the power dies, if I try and turn the lights on past parking, power dies, etc..

i would check out the ignition switch...

Looks like it could be the ignition switch, after a little bit of shaking it and hitting it lightly, the power was restored enough for me to get the damn window up. Now the switch won't even give acc power, so I will replace it and go from there.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
