Okay so I finally after 3 years of building I started my 1G motor it ran for about 2 weeks and the balance shaft elimination stubby shaft expanded and seized up, now this car is a non turbo with JE pistons, eagle rods, eagle crank, and a full Crower Valvetrain. Now about a month before i finished the 1G(roughly 2 months ago) i picked up a 2G 95 GST that had crankwalk for 500$ with the intention of using the turbo setup on my 1G after it was running .....but now im at a crossroads....do I put the 1G 6 bolt in the 2G and do the complete swap, or should i put the oil pump and everything back together in the 1G and take the turbo stuff off the 2G....

2G Perfect body-1G Needs work to Door Panels and a paint job
2G would be Minimal wiring(just CAS wiring)-1G would need Turbo MAF and harness and alotta patience on wiring
2G have not had but a couple months-1G i have had for 4 1/2 years now
2G still has AC and Power steering-1G i took it all off to make a drag car

:banghead: Im just not sure what to do, Im sure i have more pros and cons i could list but my brains still trying to sort it all out, so any opinions or technical input about the swap, or anyone who has done the swaps take on this matter would be so great right now. Thanks guys :thumb:

honestly i would do the 2g because of less work and headache down the road. But its really up to you and what you want to do.

2g GST is the better platform of the two, no question. Between the cars that you have, you should have all of the parts you need to do the 6bolt in a 2g swap. The 2g should have an EPROM, and with the 6bolt bottom end, it can be a stout car.

I found that it was easiest to use the 2g head and just have the machine shop enlarge the head stud holes 1mm (from 11mm to 12mm)

I would do the 2g too. On your list the 2g sure sounds like the better option and a 6 bolt in a 2g has been done a lot, so there is plenty of support for it. The links posted above should have you 99% covered.
