I have been reading some posts about this but I have never done this before and I am just trying to make the best of what i have by flashing ecu. My car has stock injectors, fuel pump and turbo which is pushing 15 psi. I have flashed my ecu already, works great but now I'm just trying to tune it for more power. Can anyone help me? Thanks

If you're still on a completely stock setup there's not really much of a point. Do you plan on upgrading to a bigger turbo in the near future? If so it's better to just wait and take care of a tuning solution whenever you do that.

I just want to squeeze out all the power I can. I wont be upgrading till after college most likely.

No better time to start then now. I dont agree with force's comment. Best time to learn is on a near stock stock set up. You have a little more leeway. Better then trying to learn on a 500whp set up doing 3rd gear pulls on the street haha.

There is some power to be had just by cleaning up the stock tune. Then you can max your stock injectors and make a nice bit of power.

What's the point? The T-25 starts to fall apart at any significant boost levels above the stock level.

Even so, I have to agree that it's a good time to learn. Why wait until you're running thousands of dollars of expensive hardware to learn the system?

I would at least put a pump in there. Considering they are easy to find, and cheap. Even if you get a stock evo 8 or 9 pump.

Stock 2g pump with rewire flows 156lph. Definitely will max a t25, hell even a 14b. The 2g pumps are pretty decent.

A good friend of mine ran 14.1 with a t25, only mods were intake, exhaust, mbc. With a tune and 18psi it would have been a solid 13's car. Plus when the little hair dryer gives out it gives you a good reason to upgrade :D

Maybe the fact that the Factoy Fuel maps in just about any Mitsu are pig rich... .

That^^^,

and very conservative timing maps on the 2gs, something like 16* iirc.

Exactly, thanks for wording it better then i could haha.

Thanks for input guys. Im seriously clueless with tuning. I am probably going to go with an e3 or hx35 set up when i can. Still in college though and have a three month old daughter to support. I plan on rewireing fuel pump next week. So how do i go about maxing injectors? As is my boost diminishes under WOT.

A good start would be to go to the ecmlink forums/site and watch the videos they have posted.

Honestly then, i would just go with a 16g and be done with it. Atleast until you graduate. Car will make 350whp and be plenty of fun to drive. Definitely enough for a street car.

Just watch your injector duty cycle (idc's) on your logger. 80% is ideal, put you can push them farther.

Oo i forgot about those vids. On it! I have AEM wideband. Using evoscan and ecuflash.I believe last log injectors were at 78. I will do another with friends laptop asap. I probably will just go with an evo setup when possible. Sorry for sloppy posts, posting from phone.

Rewire asap. Then just keep upping the boost while watching the idc's, afr's, and knock. If it starts pulling timing, back off a little.

The t25 seemed to give up at about 18psi on my friends car. So you should be able to run it wide open.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Think t25 will survive 17-18 psi? Lol

Its hard to tell how long it will last, couple months, and year? Maybe longer, maybe less. Guess it depends on its current condition and how many times you throttle the little guy.

And keep up on the oil changes and let the car idle for a few before you shut it off,and etc.

Something else to think about is a bov upgrade. If its a stock plastic 2g bov it will most likely leak over 15psi.

My mods are ngr bov, apexi n1 o2 back, right now im going thru stock bcs with removed restrictor but i have a nxs mbc, injen intake and sb ss tz clutch kit. I need to update profile. I am kind of abusive. But, I replace all fluids reguarly. It is quite expensive because of how much i drive. Lol. I bought the car completly stock with 1 owner before me at 96k and im at 124k now after a year and a few months. Makes me cry putting all these miles on it.

I know, right? Too bad that is insurance, inspections, etc for another car as well which I can't afford. Also what keeps me from doing that is thinking about what that money could buy the GSX! Haha.
